We are known for our innovative satin-lined hoodies which unlike traditional cotton hoodies, protect hair from dryness, frizz, and breakage. Our mission is to make innovative and inclusive products with integrity, to foster a community with no boundaries. KIN Apparel was founded in 2020 by natural hair content creator Philomina Kane AKA NaturallyPhilo. Her passion for healthy hair care and her love for her Ghanian culture led her to create KIN Apparel, a brand centered around community and self-love. With products like, satin lined hoodies and satin lined hats, you no longer have to choose between fashion and functionality. KIN Apparel's products are the bridge to that gap! You see, traditional hoodies are made with cotton, a material that absorbs moisture out of your hair, leaving it dry, brittle, and prone to breakage. Whereas, satin is a smooth and soft material designed to help retain moisture and alleviate friction. We decided to double layer the interior of the hoods with the finest quality satin to provide ultimate protection. Additionally, KIN Apparel's hoods are designed to be much larger than the average hood size to fit all hair sizes. Ultimately, an extra large, double layered satin hood simply means more protection, less frizz, and all around comfort. And with our latest products, satin lined bucket hats and beanies, we ensure you get that same protection in the hottest or coldest months! Our purpose is to disrupt established norms to create meaningful change in this world. Inclusivity is what we're all about and we're able to bring that to our community through functional apparel.
