Our classes incorporate traditional learning… Honey Art Studio was created to bring friends, families, co-workers and even strangers together to explore their creative side. We embrace a learning environment that will prepare you for the path ahead. Our classes incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences. Honey Art Studio launched in 2018 by a team of artists and offers activities ranging from social justice awareness to community building and art therapy. Programs are low-cost with scholarships available as needed, or free-of-charge thanks to generous donations and grant contracts. Each year, 200 youth and adults take part in programming including: arts classes and workshops with a focus on African American culture and encompassing artforms such as fashion design, painting, pyrography, sculpting, graffiti and mural art; Bayview/Hunters Point afterschool enrichment arts programs; a community driven mural project in Hunters Point; and "Beauty Behind Bars" a detention-based self exploration series.
Honey Art Studio also offers art kits available for purchase at our studio. These kits provide customers the tools they need to tap into their creativity anywhere.
