We support artisans and our Destination Partners to procure our… Abroad Modern is a women-owned, impact driven lifestyle shop offering designed modern global home goods. Our products range from tableware to baskets, to silk pajamas, to enamel pots. We support artisans and our Destination Partners to procure our goods, and then pay forward a portion of our revenues, in the form of micro-grants awarded to women entrepreneurs worldwide through our partnership with the non profit Giving Joy (www.givingjoygrants.org), allowing women to pursue their dreams and sustain their families and communities.

Our Story
The first iteration of Abroad Modern was Greer's love letter to the backstreets of Rajasthan. It was a jumping off point for more travel, more appreciation of other cultures and many more mutually nourishing relationships all over the globe. As if by… The first iteration of Abroad Modern was Greer's love letter to the backstreets of Rajasthan. It was a jumping off point for more travel, more appreciation of other cultures and many more mutually nourishing relationships all over the globe. As if by fate, Greer met Joy at a pop up in July of 2019 and they immediately recognized in one another similar passions for travel, mission-driven retail and products with compelling stories. In the summer of 2020, the women officially entered into co-ownership of Abroad Modern, despite and frankly in direct response to Covid-19. Merging their talents kept both their business and their spirits alive. Today, Abroad Modern has expanded their catalogue of goods, global partnerships and social good initiatives.
