I invite readers to explore all of their potential and not be confined by societal expectations. In today’s world, it is more crucial than ever to have diverse representation in children’s literature. Representation can help to challenge and overcome stereotypes. Diverse perspectives are vital, as it ensures that the stories and experiences of marginalized communities are being told. In addition, it helps non-minority children understand and empathize with different cultures and experiences.
