The events allow attendants to have fun, be empowered, and connect with nature and other women in an inclusive community. The company seeks to make up for the lack of representation of black women in festival spaces and interactions with natural environments through its events targeted at women-identifying as People of Color (POC). The company's major products are its four-yearly events, which are: Black Girl Beach Day, Black Girl Ski Day, Black Girl Camp Day, and Black Girl Field Day. Our business has organized Black Girl Beach Day (BGBD)-beach event focused on women and girls of color since 2017. The BGBD event provides entertainment, recreation, community, and fun to its target audience in a safe, natural space and promotes solidarity, inclusivity, and sisterhood amongst all types of black identifying persons. The BGBD events include games (volleyball, Bike riding, and double Dutch), music and dance, artistic works, athletics and wellness (sound healing, yoga, and meditation), and spiritual activities (ancestral readings). At BGBD events, Wonderground LLC generates revenue from the tickets it sells to event attendants and from the sale of merchandise such as Swimsuits, Swim caps, Flip Flops, Beach Towels, Beach Umbrella's, Lounge Chairs, Goggles, Sand Buckets, Phone Protectors, T-Shirts, Shorts, Visors, and Beach Bags. The immense growth in revenue and attendance that Black Girl Beach Day has experienced within 3 years is proof of the viability of the concept and that there is a scarcity of safe, natural spaces for women identifying as POCs to have fun and enjoy a community through a carnival-like event. Even though the company's target market so far has been geographically limited to New Jersey and its environs, the market is set to expand to include new regions in other US states. Our company will start organizing other events-Black Girl Ski Day, Black Girl Camp Day, and Black Girl Field Day in the course of this year.
