As a child of a carpenter and an artist, my childhood was filled with color, music, sawdust, & architectural salvage. Nothing was ever finished and everything was always in motion. They were serial entrepreneurs and I grew up thinking that was the… As a child of a carpenter and an artist, my childhood was filled with color, music, sawdust, & architectural salvage. Nothing was ever finished and everything was always in motion. They were serial entrepreneurs and I grew up thinking that was the norm. I went to college, got married, started a family and was still trying to figure out what I was going to do in life. When tragedy struck, I found myself using thrift stores and estate sales for cathartic release. Soon after, the idea for my own vintage store was hatched and with a year I opened my brick and mortar, Urban Redeux in the DC Metro area.
