Think of UR TURN like a FitBit for education complete with supportive nudges. UR TURN is a smart advising technology that charts a pathway for school success offering course corrections (chatbots, text and email messaging) when students get off track. Educational goals that students can set include: reduced absenteeism, improved GPA, career pathway course completion, college readiness, progress toward successful high school completion, and eligibility for 2-year and 4-year colleges.

Dr. Angie Eilers is long-time educational researcher, professor-turned-entrepreneur, first-generation college goer and a mom. After nearly 25 years of research at Stanford, Universities of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, UR TURN was launched based… Dr. Angie Eilers is long-time educational researcher, professor-turned-entrepreneur, first-generation college goer and a mom. After nearly 25 years of research at Stanford, Universities of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, UR TURN was launched based on observation as both a researcher and as a parent. Her observation is that there is a lot of important data related to students and their future, but it not presented in a way that makes it easy for students and families to makes sense of the important insights from the data. Angie launched her current educational software company with an award from the National Science Foundation and an investment from AT&T Aspire accelerator.
