There simply are not enough platforms where people of color are given the opportunities to share their experiences, thoughts, and ideologies outside of the realm of racism and "trauma". While I believe it is necessary to create this balance of sharing informative stories of past and current traumatic experiences against different minority communities, it is important to recognize and portray that along with our other experiences that we endure we are simply human. I am grateful for what has been created before me, and even the art I've created as a part of this business in it's beginning stages, however it is the vision and goal of this company to produce projects and products that will fill in the gap for different mediums that hold people of color at the center. For example, offering different narratives for people of color formed by people of color has given me the unique qualification to create such projects.
There is a need to remind the media industry that we are more than a statistic, a quota, and we have more to offer than our traumatic experiences. The next three projects being produced place people of color with different backgrounds at the center and give them the platform to just talk about them.
