For every candle sold, a safe ride home will be donated to anyone who cannot afford a ride home. In 2005, I lost my boyfriend in a drunk driving accident. She created Alex's Free Ride, together we raised donations in San Francisco and partnered with Marin Taxi to provide a safe ride home to anyone who said Alex's Free Ride, no questions asked. The program no longer runs which is why I felt called to recreate 'The Ride.' Our mission remains the same, to provide a safe ride home to anyone in need, but this time around we'd love to partner with Uber and their "Decide to Ride" Campaign. Help us Light the Way and be part of the change as we all work together to end drunk driving.

The Poppy Who Could is more than a candle… As a Latina Entrepreneur who struggles with a learning disability (dyslexia) I will never stop fighting for more female and diversity in Leadership, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The Poppy Who Could is more than a candle business, it’s a mindset. It’s about having confidence, believing in yourself, empowering yourself to keep going and more importantly to never stop choosing yourself. Our mantra is the more you give to others, the more you get back. Help us light the way to end drinking and driving.
