The tour… Established in 2016, Tapestry Tours presented the Johnny Cash and Arkansas Delta Heritage Tour which explores Reconstruction and Depression era United States, through the lens of those who lived in the Land of Cotton, the Arkansas Delta. The tour takes visitors to experience the culture and heritage of the Arkansas Delta which has been the home to farming communities for millennia, beginning with the aboriginal peoples. From this history, modern and post-modern political and social programs and reforms were born. We provide an informative and entertaining look into the economic and racial environment from which the legends like Johnny Cash emerged, and the Southern Tenant Farmer's Union was born. This union, the first of its kind, did not come without sacrifices. This tour honors the land and those that honored it.
