According to the National Center for Education Statistics, New Mexico ranks 49th in ADULT literacy nationwide. In New Mexico, 29% of adults function at literacy Level 1, 31% at Level 2 and 39% at Level 3. By contrast, the most literate state is New Hampshire with 11% of adults at Level 1 and 22% nationwide.
When parents are engaged in their children's school lives, students have the home support and knowledge they need to not only finish their assignments, but also develop a lifelong love of learning. Parents of New Mexico public school students are not capable of being engaged in their child's education because they do not have the skills necessary to do so. Our company provides workshops for parents to attain those skills, as well as STEM classes for their children.
