I was 15 years old and only 115 pounds when I went on my first "diet." Feeling deprived, I began binging uncontrollably. I weighed myself numerous times every day. My weight went up and down drastically for a decade. At age 25, I was over a healthy weight at 180 pounds. My doctor told me I had to see an eating disorder specialist. I had to ditch the scale and dieting altogether since I was heading down a dangerous path.
I slowly began to exercise and with the positive changes, I started craving healthier foods. I went from little runs and walks with friends to my first solo marathon. I lost 60lbs and was featured on Dr. Oz to share my journey at age 50.
In 2010, I created NuYu Revolution, a holistic exercise studio specifically designed for
individuals who struggle with fitness commitments. We offer hands-on, individualized strategies, and interactive fitness classes to create sustainable change for adults and teens.
The current fitness culture is hard, fast, and intimidating. Our basic Pilates, yoga, body
strengthening, stretching, and posture classes allow members to work with us in-person or virtually and in their capacity. Our unique class package options come with a personal planning session to help find an appropriate and attainable path through learning and understanding an individual's history.
We do fitness smarter, not harder. You don't need to come out of the gate sprinting to get fit. Teaching our clients to be kind to their bodies and creating actionable goals is how we transform lives at NuYu Revolution.
