My late grandfather, Comer Cottrell, Jr., co-founder of Pro-Line International, was one of the few Black businessmen in the 70s-90s that provided… I, Autumn Brown Yarbrough, founder of Nu Standard™, was born in the Black haircare business. My late grandfather, Comer Cottrell, Jr., co-founder of Pro-Line International, was one of the few Black businessmen in the 70s-90s that provided affordable haircare products to the Black community. My mother, Renee Cottrell Brown, creator of Just for Me, fostered a community of young Black girls to improve their self-esteem through haircare products exclusively for them. And learning from the best of both worlds and continuing the haircare legacy with a new approach, I am delivering health and wellness to the Black community through haircare products but with a Nu Standard.
