A 2019 Gallup… Neuma Being is a mental fitness tech company. in 2018 after experiencing burnout in my job as an architect, I took a sabbatical. I noticed a lot of my friends and other creatives in LA area are also struggling with stress and burnout. A 2019 Gallup poll showed that a whopping 76% of American workforce experienced stress and burnout. So my husband Nelson, who is an engineer and I set out to create a system to help other professionals like us manage stress and recover from burnout. We combined our experience in mindful altered states with our expertise in design and Tech to prototype a beautiful tech embedded lounge chair and an app to facilitate deep relaxation, recovery and improve creative performance in little as 20 minutes. We have a concept store in Chinatown, LA called Neuma Mind Spa, where customers can book journeys to experience these states.
