We are in the final stages of our Nature Mystique Hobbit House Wellness Retreat which includes four hobbit homes. We are very excited about this retreat as it offers the unique experience of visitors being able to stay in an underground tiny home along the backdrop of a breathtaking and tranquil 10 acres of land. This is a very special area with a beautiful landscape, man made pond using the local talent just minutes away from Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. It is one of the most frequently visited park in the east coast with over 2 million visits. People are seeking a getaway that offers peace and gives them a chance to be at one with nature, focus on their own physical and mental health and enjoy a unique travel experience. Every decision we made in the development was focused on sustainability making very responsible choices with our build up and materials we used to conserve energy, reduce waste and utilize the local talent. According to the Global Wellness Institute, wellness travel is growing at a much faster rate than standard travel. In 2015, the wellness travel industry was $563bn and is expected to reach $919bn by 2022. Wellness travel has a long standing history going back to the Roman ancient baths. We are thrilled to be able to offer this retreat and have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this project. We focused on sustainability with every decision in terms of energy efficiency and using responsible materials. We were at the final stages of refinancing our properties for equity loans when COVID hit. We took a considerable hit because all our contacts stopped funding short term rental properties. We will be most grateful for this grant opportunity and the invaluable mentorship opportunity this provides.
