Our most popular service is Comprehensive Postpartum Care, a monthly subscription program including two virtual sessions with a Certified Nurse Midwife per month and unlimited texting. We provide education on preparation for birth and postpartum, self-advocacy tools, newborn feeding support, family planning, prep for the 6w visit, return to work/fitness, support for baby blues and other mental health concerns common in the perinatal period as well as access to a specialized referral network and curated resources.

Our Story

Tanya is the founder of Mother Wit and a Certified Nurse Midwife with 20 years experience. As a young mother, she began her career as a doula. She then became an RN in 2003 and a CNM in 2007. She is currently adjunct faculty at NYU and Georgetown… Tanya is the founder of Mother Wit and a Certified Nurse Midwife with 20 years experience. As a young mother, she began her career as a doula. She then became an RN in 2003 and a CNM in 2007. She is currently adjunct faculty at NYU and Georgetown University. She has cared for thousands over the years and has caught nearly 1200 babies. Tanya loves everything about being a midwife except the limited time she had with clients. Two of the most powerful tools in her box are those that don't fit neatly in the traditional healthcare setting; fitness and nutrition. In addition to being a midwife, Tanya is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and a Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach.
