Our Story
Maya Moon Co was born out of my love for delicious treats and an allergy to refined sugar. When I couldn’t find naturally sweetened chocolate treats made with real ingredients that didn’t taste like diet foods, I set out to create them on my own.… Maya Moon Co was born out of my love for delicious treats and an allergy to refined sugar. When I couldn’t find naturally sweetened chocolate treats made with real ingredients that didn’t taste like diet foods, I set out to create them on my own. I launched our first honey-sweetened chocolate truffles in 2018. The texture was what I hoped for in a chocolate treat: rich, creamy, and silky smooth. The ingredients were everything health-conscious consumers craved: organic, zero refined sugars, no preservatives, and naturally gluten free and dairy free. It was what my healthy chocolate dreams were made of! Today, Maya Moon Co offers seasonal honey-sweetened chocolate truffles and six organic drinking chocolate blends for nationwide shipping and in our flagship cacao cafe in San Diego, CA.
