We were originally founded 30 years ago, and since our transition into a cooperative 7 years ago, we now operate with the focus not on profit, but rather on earning enough income to support our mission: offering all members of the Dane County… We were originally founded 30 years ago, and since our transition into a cooperative 7 years ago, we now operate with the focus not on profit, but rather on earning enough income to support our mission: offering all members of the Dane County community a safe, supportive, and inclusive space to learn about and benefit from martial arts, fitness, and self-defense. The majority of MMAC's routine operations involve in-person outreach, through group kickboxing and karate classes, individual instruction, self-defense workshops for women and girls, and private workshops for groups of all sizes (non-profits, community centers, colleges and universities, clubs, and other organizations) throughout Dane County.
