Inspired by female founders before her and by the legacy of her grandmother - a talented seamstress and fashion teacher - she decided to apprentice in couture and develop better clothing options for the professional leaders of DC. After years of lessons, travel, research and apprenticeship to Carlota Alfaro, Puerto Rico's grande dame of couture, Lisa Perez founded Lark House Club and has developed several garment innovations including the ComfyMask (an ultra comfortable, super protective 4 and 5-layer mask that can be worn comfortably for long periods of time) worn by President Biden on a number of occasions, and the soft pants & petal skirt, garments that reflectsthe brand's inclusive and innovative approach to sizing.
