Lala’s Bootleg Salsa has 3 delicious flavors, Original, Ranchero, and Pineapple/Mango. The Original and Ranchero are traditional salsas that were served at “Lala’s Restaurant” in Lubbock, Texas for 25 years and the Pineapple/Mango is a craft salsa developed by me. Lala’s Restaurant was owned and operated in Lubbock, TX, by my parents, “Lala” and Conrado Cavazos, from 1981 – 2006. I started, unofficially, the business out of my apartment, thus, the name, “Lala’s Bootleg Salsa.” I started the business as an extra income source for the holidays, however, the demand was there, so I continued to make it as needed. However, the main reason behind wanting to build and grow the business was that I wanted to continue my parent’s legacy.
