As a licensed social worker, certified school social worker, and former therapist who has worked across the entire education spectrum (K-12 and higher education), I grew tired of the backward approach we take to mental health. I've scooped kids off of bathroom floors who were having stress-induced panic attacks at 13 years old, students who ran away from me to throw up in trashcans because they developed unhealthy coping skills or ones who uncontrollably cried in the middle of 300-person lectures because they didn't know how to process their at-home traume. I want to create a proactive, preventative approach to transform students from statistics to success stories.
We provide an online course, the Mental Health Mastery Method, which allows students to not only increase their understanding about the different facets of mental health (mindset, stress, mindfulness, therapy), but also an accompanying workbook so that they can APPLY what they learn to their own lives. We also provide workshops and staff training so programs and schools can become more mental health forward in their programming and services.
