It opened first in Southbury in May 2013 and moved to Sandy Hook in August 2015. It is a social model day program for seniors who are not safe to be home alone primarily due to cognitive impairment. It has a capacity of 16 clients with a staff ratio of 1:5. Old Glory Days is certified by the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Services. The Director of the program is a Licensed Master's level Social Worker who has been working with the senior population since 2008. Currently, the staff consists of a LPN, Direct Care Workers, and a Driver.
The program's mission is to provide quality care in a home-like setting for older adults in need, provide support for the caregivers, and offer an affordable option for care in the community.
The company is in the process of purchasing a property to expand with a second day center location and adding a residential component. This purchase is happening through an SBA loan.
