Our aprons and Ebb Filters, reusable organic cotton coffee filters for pour over coffee, are made with fiber sourced directly from US organic cotton farms and a family-owned cotton recycling mill in Guatemala. Our aprons are proudly zero-waste designs, and all of our goods are sewn in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our Story
Inspired by my hardworking, immigrant parents and a grandmother who was one of the most sought-after seamstresses in town, I followed in their footsteps by starting GDS in 2015. Growing up in Brazil deeply influenced my work, a place where in the… Inspired by my hardworking, immigrant parents and a grandmother who was one of the most sought-after seamstresses in town, I followed in their footsteps by starting GDS in 2015. Growing up in Brazil deeply influenced my work, a place where in the 80’s, bakeries could be found every few blocks and skilled seamstresses still sewed a good portion of people’s everyday wardrobes. Community was the connection between everything, especially food and fashion. With social and environmental justice in mind, my dream is for GDS to be a positive force in the world. Through products that remind us to slow down, I hope that GDS customers will become more intimately connected to the impact that our purchases make on people and places close to us as well as on those around the world.
