Our focus is artist development and content creation. We are the team behind artists who want to move forward in their music careers but don't know how to or don't want to do it on their own. We're different from a major label in that we don't tell an artist who they should be. We let them bloom naturally. We're part school and part record label. (Think Motown meets Berkley College of Music.) We help our artists grow into recording artists, live performers and songwriters. Our artists get to feel like independent artists, running their own show, but still have the moral support and professional guidance of a team. Primarily the husband and wife team that owns the company— The Vanderveers. Bruce "Automatic" Vanderveer is a music industry veteran who started his career as an artist signed to Morgan Creek then became a producer working directly with Michael Jackson and MJJ Records having developed female R&B group, Brownstone and hip hop duo Quo. He was also an apprentice under songwriting and production team Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and had a production deal with their label, Perspective Records/A&M. Automatic has worked with artists such as Pink, Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, Cher, James Brown and Raven Simone. He has produced songs for Interscope, Polygram, RCA, A&M Records, Prospective, Morgan Creek, Fox Searchlight, American Airlines and the WB Television Network. Ebony has worked with The Dream, Cristina Milian, Floetry and Aaron Neville. As a magna cum laude alumna of USC's Thornton School of Music, she has presented her research on gospel music at Yale University. The pair have written Billboard-topping songs for K-pop artists #XIA and #Twice. They appear regularly at KCON.
