Immigration is broader than reform – and by changing the narrative of immigration we humanize the experience of migrants. Migrants must be welcomed and cared for legally and narratively – and when we succeed in these areas, a new story will emerge again, and again and again. From these authentic stories we can understand the "root causes" of migration – and expose the elements that aim to take advantage of the vulnerable.
Our services bridge support for immigrants within environments that heal both the individual and the community. Through authentic stories about immigrants, we cultivate a dynamic practice that combines the creative power of the arts with the strategic planning of activism. This process allows each participant to take individual or collective action to generate sustainable solutions.
We work with translators, advocates, case managers and others who can amplify the stories - ,who is telling the stories is missing here within these communities and gather testimonies safely and accurately. These stories are shared with visual artists, musicians, poets, writers, and dancers who produce works of art grounded in these compelling testimonies. Then we empower immigrants with the tools to design the path of their own story's journey. We give a portion of proceeds from every art piece back to each immigrant and/or their family
