As a queer WOC, we strive to share our story through each dish. The inspiration behind each dish is the struggle of my grandmother and how she migrated from Guadalajara to Tijuana and then finally arrived in Boyle Heights. We take the traditional flavors of Mexico and incorporate the culture of Boyle Heights.

Our Story

My grandmother was a hustler and entrepreneur she would take me around Downtown Los Angeles to pick produce from Grand Central Market. My grandmother would sell food out of her home and I would assist her by taking orders. Each dish was a new learning opportunity and a moment that brought us that much closer. Going plant-based at 17 in Boyle heights was difficult but it gave me the opportunity to be more creative with food and allowed me to dive deeper into my culture by recreating some of my family's most loved dishes.
