I started Capri in 2018 in honor of my late Aunt Lynn. Aunt Lynn was fiercely independent and she was relentless in pursuit of her goals. When I was 18, she taught me how to make a budget and helped me save up for my first car. I didn’t realize it… I started Capri in 2018 in honor of my late Aunt Lynn. Aunt Lynn was fiercely independent and she was relentless in pursuit of her goals. When I was 18, she taught me how to make a budget and helped me save up for my first car. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was uniquely fortunate to have a wise and wonderful her teach me about money at such a formative time in my life. I started building the Capri financial literacy app because that shouldn’t be an experience reserved only for uniquely fortunate young women.
