We aim to teach 2,020 Black people and people of color how to swim within our first three years of business.
Through our acronym F.A.C.E., this is our 4-step method of services we're offering: This year, we've learned that diversifying our streams of revenue is vital to stay afloat. Here's what we're offering:
1. Swim Classes — We're offering instructional swim courses at a discounted rate compared to local YMCAs, Boys and Girls club, local swim programs, and more.
2. Merchandise - Due to COVID-19, we are unable to offer swim classes. So, as a business, we've had to learn that pivoting isn't just a dance move, but a business move as well. We are launching our merchandise line as another source of revenue.
3. Breath of Fresh Hair - Due to the chlorine, we are offering our complimentary hair care class where we are teaching members hair maintenance (styles, swim caps...etc), but what products works best — all free of cost.
4. Instructor Directory — Connecting swim instructors to our members in their area. We are the middle man.
5. Business to Business Courses — Providing professional development courses to well-known businesses on implicit biases. Our professional development courses will bring awareness to corporations to end systemic implicit bias that Black people face when taking swim classes.
