Bicycle Utopia publishes maps and creates interactive programming to help people explore New York City art and culture by bike. Our print maps are distributed throughout NYC at libraries, bike shops, cultural organizations, local businesses, tourist… Bicycle Utopia publishes maps and creates interactive programming to help people explore New York City art and culture by bike. Our print maps are distributed throughout NYC at libraries, bike shops, cultural organizations, local businesses, tourist points, and at Bicycle Utopia and partner events. In addition, we publish a mobile-first online map which expands on the opportunities for cultural exploration. We create interactive content: self-guided day excursions around NYC, combined with a community mapping activitiy that invites Bicycle Utopia members to share their art and culture experiences on the online map, and the opportunity to earn rewards for each location that gets on the map. We have an e-commerce shop where we sell gift cards and posters that incorporate the imagery of the print maps, as well as books about NYC and, coming this Fall, bike accessories as part of a local business affiliate program we have developed in-house.
